Arrowheads

Various types of arrowheads were used throughout Japanese history.

Shuko

Worn on the palms and used as a weapon and a tool. In the picture is a hand forged iron shuko made by a Japanese maker. Although it was made in recent years it is fundamentaly similar to those used before the modern period.

Bo shuriken

There are many types of bo shuriken. The shuriken vary according to shape and length. The bo shuriken is one among a number of types of projectiles. It is most effective from a distance of up to four meters but could be thrown from longer distances depending on one's skills.
