Shikomi gatana (Shikomi zue)

Shikomi gatana is a hidden sword. The blade is hidden in what appear like a common walking cane, which was used by traveling monks. Another name for that is Shikomi-zue (cane). This weapon was used by monks and travelers who wanted to conceal the fact that they carry a sword.

The receiver (Tanemura sensei) takes a kamae as the attacker (Shihan Okayasu) is about to cut down with a sword.

.The receiver draws the blade out while moving to the left, thus evading the attacker's sword. At the same time he cuts the attacker's do (trunk of the body).
