As an historian of medieval Japanese history, specializing in warriors and religious institutions, I have tried to present the material in this site in a simple and coherent manner without compromising its accuracy. However, information concerning a martial tradition by a member of that tradition is naturally subjective. The reason for paying much attention to factual accuracy is the result of gross inaccuracies and fundamental misunderstanding of Japanese history and language in almost every Ninpo-related web site that I have visited, regardless of organizational affiliation.
